Name : Haniah Binti Jamal
Gender : Female
Age : 78 years old
Place of birth : Kampung Baru, Kota Samarahan
Family background :
Haniah have nine children and married with her husband named Sajon bin Chula also 78 years old. When she was young, she live with poor background family. She told that one of her children had died at the age of one year due to hot fever. His 8 other children grew healthy.
Academic qualification :
when asked about school, she said that she never went to school and was not good at writing and reading. However, she is good at reading (Jawi). She learned to study with the closest person. When she was a teenager she started working as a rubber cutter and planted paddy. At the older age, she is still diligent working and still active planting paddy.
Physical development
She had no health problems. In terms of health. based on our observations, Grandma’s health condition looks healthy. In terms of vision, the grandmother said hearing and her eyes are still working well but she has trouble seeing remote objects especially when there is a lack of light in the area. In addition, she can still interact with others even though she is 78 years old. She also still works shows she has good health.
Cognitive development
In terms of memory, Grandmother mentioned that she had a poor memory and could not remember many things in the past. This is shown when we ask questions about past memories in his life. She could not answer those questions and just said there was a lot but did not give us a certain answer.
Relationship
In terms of relationships, when asked about her relationship with a friends around, grandmother said that she was happy to meet with her friends. There was struggle for us to communicate with grandmother because she does not understand Malay Language. Therefore, we have used the Sarawak language to communicate with her.
Reflection:
Based on an interview, at the age of 78, grandmother was still strong and healthy enough. This is not just an assumption but I can see it with my eyes when I first came there, she did not need a stick to help her walk but that’s what made her strong. She smiled the whole time I was there and also asked me to go back when there is time for later. My grandmother’s health may be diminished because of her nature but she is still struggling to make her happy even when she’s old, but she’s still working that make me feel proud because she’s a diligent.
In terms of technology vs. humanity, I can see that grandmother is difficult to adapt to current technology. She does not want to learn not because she does not like technology but she finds that she does not need to learn how to use the current technology (smartphones) because it is so messy and there is no benefit to her.
In terms of relationships, I can see the grandmother’s excitement when asking about her relationship with her friends. She appreciates the times when she was with them even though there was a little bit of so-called ‘language’ making conversations toughen for her. In my opinion, perhaps because of the different times and times of grandmother found it difficult to communicate with her former staff.
I can understand the memory decline in adulthood. Perhaps because of the memory decline, she can not remember the past.
Conclusion
The conclusion is that at this adulthood level, there are many possibilities that will happen to us. Some passersby may have chronic illness and some may not. There is also a possibility not to remember the good past. Memory decline can be expected in this stage. In addition, an increase in appreciation of relationships with people around us especially with families and friends can be expected because we are in this stage wanting to be around the people we love to spend our time.

Reflection on My Impressions
In doing this documentary, I am very happy and enjoyable even have many problems I have experienced during this activity. Through this interview, there are many things that I learned when doing this activities such as old-life stories, previous work and so on. I also thanks to Grandmother for being interviewed in this documentary. If there are more opportunities, I hope I can do this to add more experience and knowledge to me. Indeed, I strongly encourage others to do things like this. This is because it can improve our knowledge and experience. For example, we can improve the way we communicate with older people from us as well as those around us and be patient with the strokes of the people we interviewed.
